A riad in Morocco is a small guest house, centred around a courtyard.
We were tasked with transforming a semi-dilapidated and ordinary, 3 bedroomed house in Pretoria into a 5 bedroomed Moroccan Riad with a central courtyard. Having travelled to Morocco on several occasions we are familiar with Moroccan style and set about bringing Moroccan detail into the structure with detailed brick corbelling, custom designed windows and authentic Moroccan lighting.

We were fortunate to be able to travel to Morocco to procure a lot of the fittings and furnishings including basins, taps and tiles. Much of the hand painted furniture and light fittings were also brought in from Morocco to complete the picture.

The final product is a beautiful, warm and inviting Moroccan Riad in Pretoria. From the moment you enter you are transported to Marrekesh, into the totally magical world of Morocco.
